After hearing all of the hype about Nutella, I figured that it was time to give it a try.  Nom, nom, nom!  Happily, it's one of the few foods that has ever exceeded my lofty expectations.  It's marketed as a Hazelnut Chocolate spread, and to me, tastes like a creamy Reese's Peanut Butter Cup that leans more to the Chocolate side.  We hope you enjoy our adult beverage tribute to the amazing Nutella, with our featured cocktail... 2 oz. Hazelnut Liqueur (Frangelico)
1 oz. Creme de Cocoa (dark)
2 oz. Half & Half
1 tsp. Nutella
1 tbsp. Hazelnuts (Diamond brand chopped Hazelnuts)
1 tsp. Chocolate shavings
To prep for your cocktail, toast about a tablespoon of chopped Hazelnuts per cocktail.  Put about a teaspoon of Nutella on a saucer, and microwave it for about 10 seconds.  Once heated, spread it out with a spoon, and rim a chilled Martini glass with it.  For the cocktail, put all of the liquid ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker.  Cover, shake well, and strain into your Nutella rimmed glass.  Finally, top with the toasted Hazelnuts and Chocolate shavings.  It takes about 5 minutes to make, but it's worth every second.  So, the next time that you feel like going "nuts", might we suggest our delicious featured cocktail...
