Long Island Iced Tea

Long Island Iced Tea

Supposedly named for its resemblance to Ice Tea, this potent mind fogger was either created in the 20's or the 70's.  The battle rages on.  In either case, we're left with a very tasty cocktail that can certainly have you "feeling no pain" in a hurry.  Always drink responsibly, but particularly so with these types of strong drinks.  Thanks, and enjoy your Long Island Iced Tea!

.5 oz. Vodka
.5 oz. Gin
.5 oz. Rum (white)
.5 oz. Tequila
.5 oz. Triple Sec
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
2 oz. Sweet & Sour mix
2 oz. Cola
1 Lemon or Lime wheel to garnish

Into an ice filled Collins glass, add the 5 spirits.  Then add the Lemon juice, the Sweet & Sour mix, and finally, the Cola.  Give it a good stir, or just leave it as is for a somewhat layered look.  Garnish with your Lemon or Lime, insert a straw, and start sipping away....slowly.  Cheers!
