Happy Birthday Colada

Happy Birthday Colada
Not that there's anything wrong with a good birthday cake, but sometimes it's nice to mix things up a bit.  So...maybe it's girls night out, and also a birthday celebration is in order.  Get a designated driver, and whip up a bunch of these eye-popping drinks to get the night started.  Basically, you can use any frozen concoction that you like, dress it up with some cake accessories, and let the fun begin.  We've mixed up a Colada using both Cake and Marshmallow Vodka, along with two Strawberry spirits.  If you're going to light the candles, I'd probably stay away from using any 151 Rum (unless you're looking to meet a fireman).  Make someone a cocktail that they'll never forget...the Birthday Colada!
1.5 oz. Cake Vodka
1.5 oz. Marshmallow Vodka
4 oz. Pina Colada Mix
1 oz. Grenadine
1 oz. Rose's Lime Juice
1 tray of ice
1 tbsp. Smuckers Marshmallow Topping
2 tbsp. Colored Nonpareils

Whipped Cream
Birthday Candles (optional)
(Makes two good sized drinks)
Put the Marshmallow topping on a saucer, and run the rim of a Margarita glass through it.  Then, on a serparate saucer, tap the coated rim through the Nonpareils to cover the rim with them.  Place the glass in the freezer while you build the drink.  Next, put the liquid ingredients and ice into a blender.  Blend on high for about two minutes.  Grab the glass from the freezer and spoon in your frozen Colada.  Add some Whipped Cream, sprinkle some more Nonpareils over the top, and insert your candles.  If you're going to light the candles, that needs to be done right before presentation, as the candles will start to melt and drip.  It takes a little bit of effort, but I'm sure the recipient will never forget their... Birthday Colada.  Cheers!
