Cats and Roses
"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." A bit of Shakespeare comes to mind, as one wonders about the unlikely name of this delicious cocktail. I couldn't find the origin of its name, but like many drinks, if the name is intriguing, and the ingredients sound tasty, then it's probably going to be featured on this site. With a grocery list of ingredients that are all on the "A" list, we present our featured cocktail... Cats and Roses. Cheers!
(If anyone knows the history of this drink, please drop us a line. Thanks)
1 oz. Sour Mix
1 oz. Cranberry Juice
.5 oz Roses Lime Juice
.5 oz. Grenadine
4 oz. Orange Soda
Orange Wedge and/or Cherry to garnish
Pour all of the ingredients (except the Orange Soda) into an ice filled cocktail shaker. Cover, shake well, and strain into an ice filled Hurricane glass. Add the Orange Soda, drop in a long straw, and garnish accordingly. You can stir the drink, or leave it as is for the layered look. Either way, you're about to enjoy a great tasting cocktail... Cats and Roses. Enjoy!
